Recession Haiku – a cost-cutting measure [of syllables]

How appropriate that in these belt-tightening times we should use Haiku to discuss or find expression for our economic predicament.
Here is a sample:
Fred, Sallie, Fannie,
Betrayed me and took my dreams
Today, I don't sleep.
And
Unregulated
and unfettered avarice....
what were they thinking?
